WAITLIST Names are organized on the waitlist in the order that deposits are received and according to your breed preferences. We do our best to estimate when we’ll have a puppy available for you, but please know that it can sometimes be 6 months or longer before we have available puppies. We’ll contact those on the waitlist in order though email when we have available puppies. You then can either reserve a specific puppy at that time, or pass and wait for the next litter.
CHOOSING YOUR PUPPY Final puppy picks are made when the puppies are 4-6 weeks old using pictures and videos. At this age, we’ll have a better idea what each puppy’s appearance and personality will be like as an adult. The second deposit ensures that your pick is reserved. Your puppy is able to come home at 8 weeks of age.
SIZE Our mini Bernedoodles will have an average adult size of 15-30 lbs. Our Golden Doodles and Aussie Doodles have an average adult size of 20-30 lbs. And our French Bulldogs will have an average size of 15-25 lbs.
COAT Expect an extremely low-shedding to completely non-shedding coat with a soft texture that is wavy or curly for all Bernedoodles, Golden Doodles, and Aussie Doodles. No dog is completely hypoallergenic, but our doodles are one of the best choices available for those with dander allergies who would like to add a dog to their family.
COLOR Our Mini Bernedoodles will range in colors for being tri colored, sable, and merle. Our mini goldendoodle puppies range in color from light cream all the way to red, often with white abstract markings on their face, feet or chest. Our Aussie Doodles will range in colors from tri colored to merle.
PERSONALITY Our goal is to produce doodles who are mini in size, but still have all the wonderful traits adored in standard doodles. This means a cuddly, teddy-bear-like appearance and a mellow, but playful disposition — just in a smaller package!
VET AND HEALTH Your puppy will be sent home with their vet records showing them fully up-to-date on all age-appropriate vet care, which includes vaccinations, regular preventative parasite treatments, and a wellness exam by our vet. Here are some of the things our amazing veterinarian checks for: a healthy weight; a healthy body temperature; an examination of the eyes, ears, nose, feet, genitals, skin and coat; she listens to the heart and lungs; she palpates the abdomen to check for hernias; she examines the puppy’s bite to check for an over or under bite; she checks the movement of the patellas and the hips; and lastly she completes a fecal sample test for parasites. Additionally, we genetically test our parent dogs for more than 150 diseases to ensure your puppy will not be at risk of inheriting any preventable hereditary issues and we can proudly say all our dogs test clear! Lastly, at no cost to you, we will send your puppy home with a 30 day Trupanion pet insurance policy that covers the medical expenses of any injuries or illnesses. We encourage all our families to renew this coverage.
VISITS We know some may prefer to visit our home prior to or on pick-up day. In a perfect world we would love this! Because we’re a boutique program and our dogs and puppies live in-home with us like members of the family (as opposed to operating a commercial facility that can safely accommodate guests) it usually isn’t practical or safe for us to allow home visits. However, we feel this trade-off is worth it for your future puppy and their parents, who get to live as pampered family pets. We post tons of pictures and videos to our website and our YouTube page to be as transparent as possible about how we raise our puppies. We hope you’ll notice our high standards!
BRINGING HOME YOUR PUPPY When the exciting time finally arrives for your puppy to come home, we’re able to meet you in Frankfort, KS or Wamego, KS (which is closer to I-70). Your puppy will be sent home with their health records, a bag of their food, and a blanket with their mom and litter-mates’ scent to help comfort them. Check out our New Puppy Shopping List for the essentials to have on hand when you bring home your puppy!
FLYING If you’ll be flying in to pick up your puppy, we can meet you at the Kansas City International Airport (MCI). The fee for airport delivery is $300, which includes the additional health exam and certificate your puppy will need to board the plane. Please let us know when placing your deposit if you’ll be flying to pick up your puppy. Each airline has their own requirements for traveling with pets, so take this into consideration when booking your ticket. For example, here are American Airlines’ pet policies. Alternatively, we can arrange for a “puppy nanny” to personally fly with your puppy to your nearest airport. The fees for this service can vary, but are usually around $600.
EXTENDED STAYS/BOARDING Before reserving a specific puppy, please confirm that you are able to bring your puppy home within the planned timeframe for their litter. It’s important that each puppy join their new family at the correct age for proper development. Puppies staying past the scheduled go-home weekend will begin foundational training so that they progress the same as if they were in their new home, at a rate of $100/day.
BREEDING RIGHTS Unless special arrangements have been made, all puppies are sold as companion animals only and must be spayed or neutered before 9 months of age. No breeding rights are transferred with the purchase of your puppy.
